Blackberry Priv Update: Nov. 9 Resched Not Due to Software Bugs; 3410mAh Runs 22.5 Hours; First BB Android Phone Retains BB Hub

BlackBerry Priv, BB's first android phone, will come out Nov. 9 instead of the previously announced Nov. 6.

BlackBerry Priv smartphone's original release date was scheduled on Nov. 6, but the official website for the BlackBerry store has just announced that the new phone will roll out on Nov. 9 instead.

BlackBerry Priv news says it is only a few days late, but Android users who were anticipating the phone's arrival in the original release date were disapponted. Furthermore, BlackBerry did not explain the reason behind the delay.

The BlackBerry Priv device may be facing unexpected issues, which could be a software bug found in the course of the phone's final testing, UberGizmo reported. However, the problem was not due to defective hardware parts because if it was, expectant users will be waiting for up to a few months more, other reports stated.

BlackBerry Priv features a slide-out version of the company's signature Qwerty keyboard. The keyboard design is intended to save a great deal of the screen's real state, as users may just key in through the phone's slider instead of typing directly on the on-screen keyboard.

The upcoming BlackBerry Priv Android phone is also pre-equipped with the BlackBerry Hub, which puts all e-mails and messages into a single app. Users will need not scroll past numerous apps in order to open and read their SMS or e-mails.

BlackBerry Priv also boasts an 18MP camera with a Schneider-Kreuznach certified snapper, Tech Republic revealed. Reportedly, it will have the ability to record up to 4K videos equipped with the speedy focus lock. When it comes to the display, the BlackBerry Priv features a dual-curved 5.4-inch screen.

BB Priv will also be running with a solid 3410mAh battery, which Blackberry claims to hold approximately 22.5 hours of power.

The BlackBerry Priv, according to reports, will cost $699 for buyers on the non-contract selection. Verizon may also likely release the phone, however, reports say it will not happen until next year.
