"Person of Interest" fans may have to wait until the early part of 2016 for the series' final season. Although it will definitely be a season to remember, no matter when it is shown, basing on the cast and producer's excitement.
The show's producer Chris Fisher, along with showrunner Greg Plageman and cast members Kevin Chapman, Amy Acker and Sarah Shahi, had an interview with the press during the New York Comic Con to talk about the forthcoming "Person of Interest" Season 5.
During the 4th season, fans witnessed Finch's destruction of the advanced surveillance system, famously known as "The Machine," the emergence of Samaritan of the evil machine, the romantic angle between Root and Shaw, the last second re-emergence of Shaw and the disappearance, and the development of Finch and Reese as real heroes.
Fisher guaranteed that, "It's going to be a great season. It's going to be the most dramatic and most intense season we've ever had. If we told you what would happen, [your] number would be up."
In reaction to the season's lessened 13-episode order, Chapman, playing the role of Detective Fusco, explained, "I don't think our pacing has been affected, we've maintained momentum. The writing has gone to a new level."
Fisher was keen to talk about what the new season would look like; he directed 12 episodes of the past season. He said that "Person of Interest" has its own visual language. They need to gather the visual language by plot. The production and the cast don't just wait for the action to rationalize that type of camera work.
Chapman stressed that while the 4th season concluded on a dark note, it won't stop Fusco from searching for humor in any scenario. Fusco's lightheartedness brings comic relief to the show and the plot. For Chapman, it is always good to play the character with a nous of dichotomy.
