Things are going to get more shockingly explosive on TLC's "Sister Wives" episode 12. Kody Brown's controversial family of four wives and 17 children will receive a surprising revelation from first wife Meri.
In the preview released by TLC, the Browns are seen preparing for a trip to Alaska and shopping for groceries as one unit. The episode entitled "A Boy or a Girl?" will follow the gender reveal of Robyn's second child with Kody, due to arrive in January.
The Brown family has been getting a lot of reasons to celebrate lately. On the show's episode 10, a judge finally approved Kody's request to legally adopt fourth wife Robyn's three children from her previous marriage. Last week, the family threw a party as a way to formally welcome the children into the brood.
However, amidst these happy news, a shocker is waiting to be revealed, and the whole family will be affected. Meri is seen in the preview, looking disheveled and nervous. Over a dinner, she tells Kody and the three other wives that she has something to confess. Judging by the way she looked and the tone of her voice, fans could expect that her news isn't a happy one.
"They have no idea how bad it is. They don't know what I brought into the family," she confesses.
Last month, Meri made headlines in tabloids for allegedly having an illicit affair with someone over the Internet, who later turned out to be a con artist. "During an emotional and vulnerable time earlier this year, I began speaking with someone online who turned out to be not who they said they were," Meri told People in October.
It has indeed been a difficult year for Meri, who legally divorced Kody after 15 years of marriage so he could legally marry Robyn and adopt her children.
TV Guide's synopsis for episode 13 confirms that the show is finally addressing the rumors. Scheduled to air on Nov. 15, episode 13 is entitled "Meri Catfished." "Catfishing" is a slang for people using different identities to pursue relationships online.
