It is surprising to know that billionaire Mark Cuban is also interested with the multiplayer online battle arena "League of Legends."
As previously reported, the all-Korean team SK Telecom T1 conquered the "League of Legends" 2015 World Championship. The game events the lead to that championship game in Mercedes-Benz Arena, Berlin, Germany was closely followed by fans and gamers of the online game "League of Legends." And among those interested with the game was the billionaire owner of Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban.
According to Polygon, Mark Cuban, who also happens to be a judge in the TV show "Shark Tank" surprised many "League of Legends" loyalists when he announced that he wants to play in a showcase match of "League of Legends" that will be held at the Intel Extreme Masters in San Jose, California.
Cuban has posted his intention via the Intel Extreme Masters or IEM Twitter, saying, "@bkrunner @IEM @CybersmileHQ this is very cool. I'm ready. Can I play ?"
Intel Extreme Masters warmly acknowledged his Tweet by replying, "A new challenger arises! #IEM"
Intel Extreme Masters has already announced that Intel CEO Brian Krzanich will play in the showcase match.
Intel Extreme Masters is a series of ESL-indorsed tournaments sponsored by Intel in different countries around the world. It features games such as "League of Legends", Counter Strike: Global Offensive" (CS:GO). It also includes events such as "Starcraft 2", "Quake" and "Hearthstone"
On November 21-22, the best teams in "League of Legends" and "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" will compete for the ultimate prize of $150,000 in SAP Centre in San Jose. For now it has not yet been finalized if Mark Cuban will play in the showcase match. The showcase match reportedly will be for the benefit of "Cyber Smile" which is a non-profit organization committed to anti-cyberbullying.
