Sony Xperia Z5 Premium News and Release Date: The Premium Variant of Sony's Handset Has Just Been Made Available in Some Countries in Europe

Sony's Xperia flagship, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, is to be available soon in some countries on the European block. The much-more-expensive variant is available in several listings.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is available across Europe as fans spotted it from the local Sony website as well as from third-party retailers. The handset is the premium version of the original Sony Xperia Z5 and the Compact version, and will definitely come with a hefty price tag; not to mention the word "premium" on the model's name, as GSM Arena reported.

The source continued that the Z5 Premium is listed in the U.K. with a price tag of £629, and €799 in other parts of Europe. It is also said that several German retailers are offering a €10 discount for the handset, which is more than what Sony is offering.

Fans, on the other hand, are hunting down stores that can offer the Z5 Premium in a much more reasonable price. Another way for this is through mobile carriers, which they are also currently waiting on for an announcement.

Officially, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, is a 5.5-inch smartphone with a 4K UHD screen. Resolution is pegged at 3840x2160 and offers a staggering 806 ppi density. It also comes with a Qualcomm chipset, the Snapdragon 810, backed up by 3GB RAM. A 32GB internal storage is available and will also be expandable up to 200GB through a micro SD card.

It is a single SIM phone with great camera features, the highlights of the phone. The rear camera will be a 23MP one equipped with a Sony Exymor RS sensor, while the front-facing camera is rated at 5MP with a Sony Exymor R, according to its official website.

The premium phone will also come with a 3430 mAh battery that can last up to two days and will also be waterproof and dustproof certified, IP 65 and IP 68.
