‘The Flash’ Season 2 Spoilers & Updates: ‘Superman’ May Join ‘The Flash’ and ‘Arrow’ in a Major Crossover

The CW's two successful TV series, "Arrow" and "The Flash" will officially have a huge crossover soon with the much-anticipated "Legends of Tomorrow." More interestingly, rumors have it that Tom Welling's Superman from "Smallville" might also join in.

"The Flash" and "Arrow" crossover has been confirmed and set to air on Dec. 1 and 2. On the other hand, "Legends of Tomorrow," The CW's upcoming series that serves as a spin-off from the other two shows, is expected to air in January 2016. These three major shows will officially have a crossover episode soon, and according to Inquisitr, Welling as Smallville's Clark Kent/Superman might also make an appearance.

Currently, "Arrow" and "The Flash" are on a Thanksgiving break. The two-part episode of the crossover between the two shows will have the viewers see a lot of big names team up. There will also be some introduction of characters from "Legends of Tomorrow" in these episodes.

"There's a lot of things that are really cool about this year's crossover, one of which is the fact that there really is a true 2-part story unlike last year where it was two interconnected episodes where each had their own beginning, middle, and end," "Arrow" executive producer Mark Guggenheim said in an interview with Deadline.

The question that's been puzzling fans' minds and has been around for months now is if Superman will appear in the future episodes of the show. Rumors began when Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) became metahumans. After that, speculations about Welling showing up as Superman surfaced on the Internet. The revelation of infinite Earth in "The Flash" Season 2 strengthened those speculations.

There are no official reports and announcements on the "Man of Steel" appearance in the Central City, but fans are still hoping for this to happen. With "The Flash" Season 2 having more than a half-season left, viewers can expect to see more twists and surprises.
