"The Bachelor" season 17 alumni Sean and Catherine Lowe have announced their inclusion in the season 4 of "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Couples." Could their marriage be in trouble?
Since their much-publicized wedding in 2014, Sean and Catherine are touted as one of the few successful couples "The Bachelor" has ever produced. "Marriage Boot Camp" features couples who are working on their marriages, and is famous for bickering husbands and wives on the verge of a divorce.
Last July, Sean and Catherine appeared on another reality show, "Celebrity Wife Swap." According to the Daily Mail, Catherine revealed that she felt somewhat trapped in their marriage.
"As a new resident of Dallas, I don't get to venture out as much as I'd like," Catherine wrote in her journal. "I feel like I live in this town, but I haven't made it my own. Sean and I tend to go to the same few places and see the same people. I feel like we're living in a bubble.'
In response, Sean said that he is "failing as a husband."
However, Sean and Catherine assure their fans that there is nothing to worry about with regards to their marriage.
"I think [fans] are going to be confused as to why we're on the show," Catherine told People Magazine. "I think every couple needs to improve on their communication, their trust. We're going to just continue to work on our relationship. No matter how great it is, you have to continue to get better. I hope they see that."
"I was hesitant going in. The very first day of filming, I was like 'Get me out of here,'" Sean added. "Because we're thrown into a house full of people that are very loud and love conflict and that is totally not us. Catherine, she kind of convinced me to stay because she really had a heart for the people. I kind of jumped on that bandwagon a couple days later."
"Marriage Boot Camp" season 4 premieres on Dec. 4, 9 p.m. on WE TV. Watch the trailer below:
