Game Analyst Disses the Wii U, Will Nintendo NX Include 'Call of Duty,' 'FIFA,' & 'Yo-Kai Watch?'

The highly anticipated Nintendo NX continues to attract speculations as to what the soon-to-be released console's features will be. A recent report from Express suggests that it may feature big gaming titles such as "Call of Duty," "FIFA" and "Grand Theft Auto."

Gaming analyst Michael Pachter suggested the inclusion of these three games on the latest episode of his "Pachter Factor" YouTube series.

"Because you should be able to play 'FIFA,' 'Call of Duty' and 'Grand Theft Auto' on any console you wish, and then the deciding factor becomes whether you can play Nintendo content, Microsoft content, or Sony first-party content," Pachter said. He added that Nintendo "lost its way" by not including these third-party games on their other consoles, particularly the Wii U.

"The reason that I have been so harshly critical of Nintendo leadership in the past is they were too focused on first-party software and not focused enough on keeping third-parties engaged," he explained. Pachter also continued to diss the Wii U, saying that even with the GamePad, it "just sucked."

"It made your arms tired, it had a crappy battery life, it didn't add a lot to the gameplay, and the best games don't even use the GamePad," he complained. The gaming enthusiast previously noted that without the third-party support, the NX will be "doomed before it launches."

Game developers such as Ubisoft, Capcom and EA Games have not confirmed if they will be giving their support to Nintendo NX. Meanwhile, IGN reported that Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino is open to bringing "Yo-Kai Watch" games on the NX. Hino said that he sees no problem with Nintendo's Pokemon and "Yo-Kai Watch" being in one platform.

"If kids are willing to buy both of them, I couldn't be happier," he said.

For Pachter, there is a ray of hope in Nintendo NX's future. According to Wii U Daily, he gave it a 60 percent chance of success if it could reach a 30 million install base shortly after its launch. He also noted that another advantage the NX could have is if it could be a "convergence device" between home and mobile consoles.

Nintendo promised more details about the NX in 2016.
