Apple iPhone 7's Release Expected September 2016; To Sport Waterproof Capability and 3GB of RAM

Following the success of iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, avid fans of Apple are now excited as the company is expected to launch another handset on September next year. The iPhone 7 is expected to sport a waterproof capability, 3 GB of RAM and more.

According to International Business Times, the Apple Inc. will not settle for the tried and tested formula of improved design with modest specifications on its upcoming iPhone 7. Instead, the company is believed to feature 3 GB of RAM and will also waterproof the handset like the Sony Xperia Z series.

Similar to the iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6s Plus, it is rumored that the American tech giant is working on the iPhone 7 Plus variant as well. The improved RAM unit will apparently be part of the "Plus" variant and not the flagship model. However, both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will arrive with waterproof capability.

Know Your Mobile added some of the possible features that the iPhone 7 might sport. This device is believed to sport a Sapphire Display that was noted to be planned for the iPhone 6 but hasn't been materializes. The upcoming iPhone may also have support for wireless charging technology, but a different one from those that other manufacturers have.

It is also reported to take advantage of true Wi-Fi charging that allows devices to be powered when they are within reach of a base station, as well as the support for Apple Pencil.

Latinos Post added that a reliable analyst named Ming-Chi Kuo stated that Apple might adopt the AMOLED in the future. However, it is predicted to not arrive in the next three years.

A major supplier for iPhone's backlighting, Minebea, also told investors that "it does not foresee risk of TFT-LCD share loss to AMOLED in high-end smartphone market in next three years & guides growth in TFT-LCD going forward."

These were not yet confirmed by Apple Inc. and the company hasn't given any word yet about the iPhone 7. But if these are to be believed, it seems that the American tech giant will be incorporating huge enhancements to its upcoming iPhone units.
