‘Lucifer’ Season 1 Premiere, News and Spoilers: Episode 1 Introduces a Charming Lucifer and a Mysterious Detective

"Lucifer" season 1 will be starting on FOX network soon and with the leaked episode 1 doing rounds online, spoilers about the show have inevitably surfaced.

"Lucifer" is one of the few TV series that will hit the small screens when most regular shows are on winter break. This new FOX show is set to air on Jan. 25, 2016, taking the timeslot of "Minority Report" at 9PM ET.

"Lucifer" is loosely based on Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" graphic novel. It was earlier reported that the story will be different from the character created by Gaiman. Tom Ellis of the series "Rush" plays the role of Lucifer. Other cast members include Lauren German of "Hawaii Five-0" and Lesley-Ann Brandt of "Spartacus."

With "Lucifer" season 1 episode 1 leaked online, people got the opportunity to take a peek at the storyline and how the characters are intertwined. So what should be expected from the pilot episode?

In the trailer released by FOX Network, Lucifer's charm is already evident. However, in episode 1 of the series, viewers will not only learn that the former ruler of Hell is charming but is also equipped with a sense of humor. It should also be noted that since he is not human, he has supernatural powers which will come in handy especially since he will be attached to the Los Angeles Police Department.

This serendipitous link with LAPD will result from Delilah's (Anna Lynne McCord) murder which will happen right in front of him. Lucifer will then use his powers of persuasion to get people to tell the truth. In the process, he will bump into Chloe Dancer (Lauren German), the detective who will be assigned to Delilah's case.

As to be expected the two will become partners in solving the murder. One thing that should be taken note of, however, is that Chloe is seemingly immune to Lucifer's power of persuasion. Why is this the case? Succeeding episodes might hold the answer to this question.

Another curious relationship that will progress throughout the season is between Lucifer and Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside), an angel who works on convincing Lucifer to go back to Hell. Just how far will Amenadiel go to drag the former ruler of the Underworld back to where he belongs?

Catch "Lucifer" season 1, episode 1 on Jan. 25 to find out the answer.
