"Once Upon a Time" season 5 midseason finale is about to be aired and Colin O'Donoghue talked about his character Dark Hook and how his relationship with the Dark Swan will not be a walk in the park.
In a recent interview, O'Donoghue answered questions about the latest developments in "Once Upon a Time." According to the actor, he had been told two or three weeks before the filming about what would happen to Captain Hook. The 34-year-old actor was thrilled that the character would again be leaning to the dark side like he was when he was introduced in season 2, TV Line reported.
"The Rite" actor also said that there is a significant difference between the attitudes of Dark Hook and Dark Emma (Jennifer Morrison).
"Dark Hook is different because he'd already tasted darkness, he'd already given in to a part of it, whereas Emma was coming from the place of being the Savior and essentially always saving the day," O'Donoghue said. He added that it could be the reason why Emma was struggling when she just became the Dark Swan.
"Once Upon a Time" season 5 episode 10 revealed that Hook, as he went back to the dark side, harbored ill-feelings against Emma. On the other hand, O'Donoghue confirmed that although Hook felt quite angry that Emma turned him back to being dark, he could not just deny that he still has feelings for her, noted TV Guide.
However, with love mixed with the thirst for revenge, the actor said Hook will be hurting "Emma in a way no one saw coming." The midseason finale synopsis has already revealed that Hook will target Emma's loved ones. He will call out all the past Dark Ones from the Underworld to inflict pain on all of Emma's loved ones. After this, it would be a long walk up the mountain before the couple could resolve their issues.
