'Fallout 4' Patch 1.2 Now Live for Xbox One, Ps 4 and PC, The 'Infinite Caps Glitch' Now Gone

The PC port received the "Fallout 4" Patch 1.2 ahead of hte consoles Monday but as promised it is now available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

According to Design and Trend, patch 1.2 introduces a fix to the reported issue that some players get stuck in terminals. The patch also brought a fix to the issue in the quest titled "When Freedom Calls." Moreover, generally speaking the patch introduces memory and stability improvement to "Fallout 4" and a fix to the crash that has been reported to occur when jumping in a water.

For more platform specific information, the developer has published the patch notes in Bethesda's "Fallout 4" website. As indicated, changes are applied to all platforms except for those specially indicated. For example Patch 1.2 brings two new features to the PC port only. The first added feature now allow players to use the number pad keys for remapping. The second one allows activated remapping on Quick Container.

Meanwhile, patch 1.2 brings the following to all three, pc, Xbox One and PS 4:

-General memory and stability improvements

-Performance improvements inside the Corvega Assembly Plant

-Optimizations to skinned decal rendering

-Fixed issue with player becoming stuck in terminals

-Fixed issue where equipped weapons become locked after completing Reunions

-During "Confidence Man" fixed issue where player's health would continuously regenerate

-Fixed issue where Launcher would not save God Rays Quality setting properly (PC)

On the other hand, Patch 1.2 might be a bit of bad news to those who were enjoying game glitches such as infinite caps glitch that was discovered last month. According to GameSpot, gamers had taken to GameFAQs to report that the glitch was zapped away from all consoles by this patch. Many seem happy that patching the "infinite caps glitch, has bid farewell to "cheating" or "exploiting" as discussed in the forum thread. Therefore from now on, those who want more caps would have to work hard just like everybody else.

As previously reported, "Fallout 4" has been given nude mods by extra creative gamers. Luckily, patch 1.2 did not make those mods unusable. Nevertheless what is important is that the developers were able to deliver the fixes where the game needed the most.
