'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Update: More Photos Released; Plot Still a Big Secret

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is about to be released on the big screen in less than a week, but several more photos and information still keep coming out.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" has already proven that the force is really strong with already $50 million in ticket pre-sales. Most probably for other outfits, they would have stopped their marketing campaign and just sat back, relaxed, and waited for the opening day. Not with the "Star Wars" franchise though, ScreenRant reported.

The "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" released images were first put up by Movie Jones, who did not say much of it as well. Some of the images were dramatic, nostalgic and very interesting, especially the image of the bad guys, General Hux and Kylo Ren, who seem to be getting along in the image, but in reality they are both vying for power. However, aside from that, nothing else can be deciphered from the images. It has been this way for several months now, where everything else is kept a secret.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" director, J.J. Abrams, said that this will all be beneficial to the fans. "It was something that while we were working on the movie, I realized how engaged with the fans and forthcoming Lucasfilm had always been, and my nature, which is to keep things quiet, was something that I was certain we were going to have fights about and my wanting to keep the audience surprised when they went to see the movie," said Abrams.

"But Disney, to my shock, was arguing to not ruin, not reveal, not show, every story beat. And we've all seen trailers for films that literally show you the movie in Cliff's Notes form and then you go to see the film and you're like, yeah, that was literally the movie. I saw it in a two minute, ten second piece," the director added.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is due out on Dec. 18.
