The iOS 9.2 has just been rolled out to Apple iOS devices a few days ago. It is just short of two months after the iOS 9.1 has been released. The latest update is said to be offering a lot of bug fixes that have haunted the iOS 9 and iOS 9.1 users for the past two months. Plus there are additional performance improvements.
The iOS 9.2 update brings about 30 changes to the iOS devices. Some of the noteworthy changes are, users can create a playlist when adding the first song on the Music app, the playlist is now sorted with the most recently edited on top, and the Mail Drop service is added and will let a user attach a file up to 5GB in size via Apple's Cloud Drives. This feature was present during the beta testing of the iOS 9.0, but was taken out because of technical issues, Tech Times reported.
The iOS 9.2 also offers its users of iBooks for 3D Touch support. One can Peek at a page and Pop it towards their bookmarks or notes. By doing a tap and press, one can look for a word definition. One can also play an audio book while browsing or reading.
Another great addition to the iOS 9.2 update is the inclusion of a USB camera/ Micro SD support. Days will be gone when users who want to transfer an image or video from a camera or an SD card will need to transfer it first to a computer, then from the computer to the iPhone. This time, users can plug-in directly their USB camera or Micro SD adaptor and transfer a file straight to their iPhone.
In other news, a new iOS version means new Jailbreak tools. Currently, none is known to exist yet, but the Mangu and TaiG teams are definitely working right this very moment in order to provide one for the iOS 9.2, N4BB reported.
The iOS 9.2 is Apple's second major update.
