Christmas is less than two weeks away, and Kody Brown's polygamous family is busy planning for the celebrations. With four wives and 17 children, will the "Sister Wives" clan celebrate the holidays as one big happy family, or will they hold separate parties for each wife?
First wife Meri Brown recently shared a photo of her Christmas tree on her official Twitter account. The reality star has been through a lot of controversies this year, but she obviously is not letting them dampen her jovial mood.
"My star isn't the last thing to go on the tree," she wrote in the caption. "It's always my Believe bell. #PolarExpressObsessed." Meri's tree also has a personalized family ornament bearing her, Kody's, and their daughter Mariah's names.
Meanwhile, second wife Janelle also posted a photo of how she prepares for Christmas in her house.
"Stockings hung by the chimney with care...For even the dog," she tweeted. The picture shows 10 stockings hanging over her fireplace, one for each family member and her two adult children's partners, plus a tiny one for their pet.
Kody and Janelle have six children together. Janelle is clearly in the mood for the holidays, as she also tweeted that she has been listening to Christmas songs repeatedly.
"Listening to Christmas music today and I'm wondering if there are other songs besides 'Baby It's Cold Outside.' I think it plays every 20 minutes," she tweeted.
With each wife busy putting up Christmas decors in her own home, fans are curious to know whether the famous polygamous family will be celebrating the occasion as one big unit, or will they be holding separate gatherings?
At the beginning of "Sister Wives" Season 1, the Browns were living under the same roof, with each wife having her own wing in the house. By Season 4, they moved into four separate but adjacent homes in one cul-de-sac.
In her home tour video, fourth wife Robyn showed her patio with large picnic tables, which she said was for family gatherings.
"We really wanted a place for the whole family to be able to eat and hang out together," she said in the clip.
Despite the issues surrounding their highly controversial family, Kody and his wives have more than one reasons to celebrate the coming holidays. Robyn is due with her second child with Kody, a girl, early in January. Also, their reality show is said to have been renewed by TLC, following the high ratings of the recently concluded season 6.
