'The Vampire Diaries' Season 7 Spoilers: Show's EP Teases Stefan's Ordeal, New Mystery In Bonnie's Life; New Vampire Hunter, Rayna's Resemblance To Nina Dobrev

There is so much to look forward to in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 and its executive producer, Julie Plec got some big spoilers for the show's fans.

Design&Trend reported that Plec just recently discuss more things to expect in the upcoming episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7.

The Salvatore brothers were trapped in the vampire purgatory called The Phoenix Stone and Damon is said to be dealing with the Civil war flashbacks.

In Plec's interview with The Variety, she was asked on what will Stefan be dealing with and if she will reveal it. She said, "I won't actually. What's great about the episodes that are coming up in the next chapter is that our winter season launches with a really great concept episode that features Damon's experiences as a result of being trapped in this personal hell."

Plec added, "The way that we unveil his journey and we unveil Stefan's are completely different and that's kind of the fun of it."

The Salvatore brothers will be able to get out alive of the Phoenix Stone. Aside from that, Plec has also teased that a new mystery is bound to happen in the good witch, Bonnie's life.

However, in the flash forwards, Bonnie's fate was unclear. Plec has explained that "Bonnie is in the middle of a newer mystery. What we've seen of her is she appears to be in some kind of mental institute or under some deep psychiatric care and seems to be in love with Enzo."

She then added, "That's something that is a mystery that we'll get to unravel during the winter season as we start telling stories about how all that came back."

Another big fuzz about "TVD" Season 7 is the evident resemblance of the new vampire hunter Rayna portrayed by Leslie-Ann Huff to former lead star, Nina Dobrev.

According to Carter Matt, Caroline Dries, "TVD" EP, made it clear that casting Huff was not intended because of her physical resemblance to Dobrev.

It was previously reported that Dries is aware of the resemblance of Huff and Dobrev, however, she made it clear that it was just "coincidence." Dries said that they looked at a lot of actor and said, "I was like, 'I think she looks exactly like Nina.' I was convinced otherwise. I actually haven't met her yet in person, though, and everyone says she doesn't look like her in person."

It was also well pointed out that Huff is a great actress and that she's perfect for the role. "We'll get to see her present-day story and then everything will click when you see her in the future," says Dries.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will soon be moved to Friday nights starting on Jan. 29, 2016 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
