Spinoff Comic Book Resources says that BBC has already released the new trailer of "Sherlock" Holiday special, titled "The Abominable Bride." It is noted that creator Steven Moffat and veteran writer Mark Gatiss (who also writes the scripts of "Doctor Who" & some "Sherlock" episodes) have penned the scripts for this one-off episode.

"Sherlock" Holiday special's "The Abominable Bride" will be aired on New Year's day. Den of Geek says that in UK it will be aired via BBC, but American televiewers will be able to watch on the same day via PBS.

Independent UK reports that "in the latest clip we get a first look at the titular 'Abominable Bride', with her presented as a shotgun wielding woman with a veil over her face." As the 40 seconds of the trailer begins, fans would hear Sherlock saying, "The stage is set, the curtain rises, we are ready to begin. The avenging ghost."
