Blackberry is said to be doing well in its sales performance with its latest offering. Many industry experts are now believing that the company would be back on its feet and battling it out again with other phone manufacturers, just like the good-old days. Here is what the Blackberry Priv can offer against the Apple iPhone 6s.
Apple iPhone 6s Plus really stands out when it comes to design. Its metal unibody offers looks and comfort that a selected few can match and because of its metal frame, it also makes it durable. A fingerprint scanner is incorporated onto the home button and offers four colors to choose from gray, silver, gold and rose gold.
Blackberry Priv, stayed true to its tradition, it is equipped with a physical keyboard that slides underneath when not in use. It also comes with a curved edge screen on both sides, which can be used as a secondary screen for quick access to apps or for a quick look at the battery level while charging. Build wise, the Priv has a metal frame and fiberglass cover on its back. Black is the only color available. The two phones have a similar sized screen, 5.5-inch for the Apple iPhone 6s Plus and 5.4-inch for the Blackberry Priv.
The 6s Plus offers 1080 x 1920 resolution and 401 ppi density LCD. It is equipped with 3D Touch technology. The Priv is an AMOLED 1440 x 2560 pixels and gives a 540 ppi density, Blackberry reported. Under the hood, the iPhone 6S Plus is a dual-core A9 chipset that comes with a PowerVR GT7600 GPU, Apple said. A 2GB RAM compliments the chipset. The Priv offers a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset and an Adreno 418 GPU. It also comes with a 3GB RAM. External storage is not available on both phones. Apple’s iPhone 6s Plus contains a 12 MP camera and cost $299 with a two-year contract. BlackBerry’s Priv has an 18 MP one, cost $250, also with a comparable contract.
