"Days of Our Lives" is heading for some tragic events come New Year's Day involving Brady, Jennifer, Eric and Daniel. Shawn Christian's exit from NBC's daytime soap opera has been confirmed and so Daniel is not likely to survive the car crash.
And with Daniel's death, his family would mourn. Celeb Dirty Laundry spoilers tease that naturally, it is inevitable to bring the terrible news to Daniel's son, Parker Jonas. "Days" reveals a recast of Parker and Christian Ganiere is the one taking the role. Fans could expect emotional scenes when Parker says his goodbyes to his father. He is set to appear on Jan. 7.
Christian excitedly shared the news on his Instagram page and wrote, "Okay! It's official! I can finally share my great news! I have been blessed to be cast as Parker Jonas in Day of Our Lives! My episodes will start airing next week :) So keep watch for me!"

This young actor is known for his roles in "To Dust Return" (2015), "Reaper Tales" (2015) and "Sun Flower" (2012). Evan and Luke Kruntchev previously played the character of Parker Jonas.
In a related casting news, Molly Burnett is returning to "Days of Our Lives" to reprise her role as Melanie Jonas in January. Spoilers tease that Daniel's death would be a hard thing to carry for his daughter, who also have to deal with the fact that her ex and close friend nearly died as well.
The 27-year-old actress left the soap earlier this year. She started playing as Melanie in 2008 and most recently appeared in "CSI: Cyber" and "Longmire."
Fans will last see Daniel on "Days" on Jan. 6, after his fiancée Nicole (Arianna Zucker) bids him farewell.
"Days of Our Lives" airs every Monday to Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
