Google Glass: FCC Website Reveals Google Glass 2.0 Design

Google Glass 2.0 is the latest model of the face computer which appeared on the FCC's (Federal Communications Commission) website showing the Glass' high-res images.

The photos of the second version of Google Glass show a device with FFCID "A4R-GG1" which appears to resemble the current Glass model, Fast Company reported. The only apparent change is its ability to be folded up like an ordinary pair of glasses. Compared to the first Glass version, the case of the iteration seems to be more round and a lot smoother.

Internal photos are also shown displaying the device with hardware, an internal speaker while the bone conduction pad is removed from its case. A slot can be found in the case just below the speaker, making it appear that the Glass has been modified to a more standard speaker.

A brief user manual was posted by the FCC that indicates the power button on the unit's back portion. The camera light has been placed on the front that turns green while the camera is on. The device can support 5GHz WiFi.

While appearing on the FCC's website makes it seem that the item will soon be up for sale, there is no news whether the Glass will be released to consumers. According to The Wall Street Journal, the upcoming Glass version is an Enterprise Edition that will cater to businesses.

Based on the reports, the Enterprise Edition is going to utilize an Intel Atom processor with some upgraded internals as well as to support the external battery pack. The device is expected to be sold via the "Glass for Work" program while companies reportedly will load a custom software on the unit.

Google Glass has also been reported to undergo a reboot, including a re-name to "Project Aura." However, there has been no formal announcement yet from Google regarding this and the Enterprise Edition, since the last news ever heard by the public was its re-set under Nest's Tony Fadell, Arstechnica reported.
