'Rebel Galaxy' Will Come to PS4 and Xbox One in January 2016

"Rebel Galaxy" finally has a release date for PS4 and Xbox One.

According to Steam, "Rebel Galaxy" was released on Oct. 20, 2015 as a PC and OS X game. To date it has very positive reviews and as written on its game description, "Rebel Galaxy is a swashbuckling space adventure, with action-packed combat, exploration, discovery, trade, and 'negotiation' with the outlandish denizens at the edge of the known universe."

The title has become so positively accepted that PS4 and Xbox One versions are underway. According to PlayStation LifeStyle, the two-person studio Double Damage Games that made "Rebel Galaxy" has announced that the game will first hit PlayStation 4 consoles on Jan. 5, 2016 in North America while a European PS4 launch will follow about a week later, on Jan. 12 tentatively. The Xbox One version, on the other hand, will be launched on Jan. 13.

Moreover, on PlayStation, "Rebel Galaxy" will be available at $19.99. It reportedly will run at 1080p/30fps on both PS4 and Xbox One consoles. At the moment, the game is only available in the English language. Double Damage said, "We haven't done any translations yet - we're looking into them in the New Year, so for now, it's English only."

As described on Steam, the player will assume the role of the "commander of an immensely powerful star destroyer" who will go up against battle pirates, explore anomalies, establish alies with aliens, search battle wreckage or asteroids and gather artifacts. The player can opt to develop the path as a roguish do-gooder, crafty space-trader or power-hungry privateer. As the game progresses, the player an upgrade to a more powerful ship with earned credits. The craft can be customized with different weapons and defense systems.

"Rebel Galaxy" has received great reviews since its launch in October.
