"Captain America: Civil War" is being plagued with rumors about death of certain characters but Steve Rogers dying at the end of the film could be unlikely.
Movie News Guide reported that an insider, who is close with one of the members of "Captain America" production team, disclosed some significant details for the upcoming sequel. The report said that the film will start and end with a funeral.
"Captain America: Civil War" is rumored to open with the funeral of Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell). In "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," Peggy made an appearance as an old woman who can barely get out of bed that is why this rumor is not far-fetched at all. In fact, videos and pictures leaked showing Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans) attending the funeral with Sharon Carter.
The more interesting spoiler that leaked recently is Steve Rogers' funeral at the end of the film. According to the report, Steve will bargain himself in exchange for the freedom of his partners but is killed in the process. This alleged death is the same as what is written in the comic version of "Civil War."
This piece of information is devastating for fans. However, rumors also stated that it is only the man Steve who will die, but his legacy as Captain America will live on. Allegedly, the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Sharon will take Captain America's shield.
On the other hand, Movie Pilot is doubtful of the rumor that Steve will die in the movie. This is due to the fact that Chris Evans will still play Captain America in the upcoming "The Avengers: Infinity War." Add to this, Captain America is the leader of the Avengers and losing him in the third installment would not make sense at all.
The site further said that Steve did not really die in the comic book. He was just stuck in time making his body to appear dead. The Captain finally comes back to the present in the Marvel comics titled "Captain America: Reborn."
"Captain America: Civil War" will be released in cinemas on May 6.
