Followers Blast Jill and Derick Dillard For Allegedly Mistreating Baby Israel

Another Duggar is in hot water again. Followers of Jill Duggar and husband Derick Dillard are allegedly mistreating their infant son.

Followers of Jill Duggar and husband Derick Dillard were alarmed when a photo of their 9-month-old baby Israel, hysterically crying while tightly wrapped in a swaddle blanket, surfaced on the Dillard Family blog site on Nov. 30. While it appears that the photos have been taken down from the blog site, Starpulse was able to share a copy of the photos that show poor baby "Izzy" left to cry inside a tight swaddle blanket while being photographed, instead of being comforted.

According to Starpulse, swaddling has been a common practice with newborns. The publication then reported that based on the findings of a 2011 report by the National Resource Center on Child and Health Safety (NRC) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), swaddling is "not necessary or recommended," as it poses more harm than good.

However, those two most recent photos of Baby Israel aren't the only ones that raised alarm among the couple's followers. According to Fashion and Style, a disturbing photo of the 9-month-old boy with what appears to be an under-eye bruising also surfaced online. The Duggar family reportedly responded via their Facebook page, saying, "Babies get bumps and bruises. Let's not flip over every band-aid or bug bite. In another photo, it looks like his eyelid is swollen which could be from a nasty bug bite. Babies eyes tend to swell up big time with bug bites."

Many fans have released their outrage over social media including the Facebook page titled "Duggar Family News: Life is not all pickles and hairspray," where the photos of baby Israel described above can still be found.

In the meantime, Jill and Derick have not personally commented on what their followers think of the photos, and TLC reportedly is renewing "Jill & Jessa: Counting On."
