"Outlander" season 2 details and teasers are making rounds on the internet like the promotional photos recently released. The photos don't only reveal the current goings-on in the filming for the show but it also showcases the new outfit of Jamie and Claire and the rest of the cast.
Since the couple travels to France, they need to fit into the fashion of the place on a certain period of time. With that, they need to change their wardrobe from that of Season 1. Said change with the new costume is described by designer Terry Dresbach as a "monumental task" but he was willing to do it. Dresbach's team considers it as "one of the most well-documented periods of fashion in the world."
"Everything has to be sumptuous and lavish and every inch is beaded and embroidered," Dresbach said according to Entertainment Weekly about the wardrobe of stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe.
"We figured out recently that we've made over 10,000 items for season 2 and acquired another 5,000 shoes," Dresbach added. He even said that the season is "massive" especially that it entails a lot of work for the appearances of every character.
Meanwhile, the show runners are currently looking for the best person to play the role of the grown-up Lord John Grey. The younger version of Master Grey was played by Oscar Kennedy when he accidentally met Claire and Jamie Fraser. But it wouldn't be the last time that Lord Grey will meet the Frasers.
Lord John will also appear in the third book of the series, titled Voyager which could be for the supposed third season of the show. He is the governor of Ardsmuir Prison where Jamie is an inmate.
The character is described as a 26-year-od blonde man who his fine-boned. He has “a fair-complexioned face and girlish lashes that made him look still younger than his years.” He is also educated and intuitive with a soldier's body but he is also a closeted gay with a genteel character and discreet manner, TV Line reported.
Since Lord John will be around for a long time, it would be important to get the right actor to play the role.
"Outlander" season 2 is expected for release on the spring of 2016.
