It's been an interesting journey for John Coultrip's parents to find their future daughter-in-law. In Episode 4 of "Married by Mom & Dad," they met Kristina and they liked her and so now they're torn between two darlings.
John's parents, Laurie and Joe, set to meet Kristina, 26, in the woods. They waited for three hours and were worried she's gotten lost or has ditched them. But fortunately she turned up - in skirts and sandals. In a cold day. Laurie and Joe were concerned she doesn't have the "outdoor stamina" that would match their son.
"John loves the outdoors," said Joe. "He wants to have a partner that can keep up with him and can do things with him."
They wanted to hike with her for a bit more and ended up wrapping her up in a blanket while they're having a chat. They liked listening to her and she scored by showing them her positive outlook. Kristina felt easily connected with John's parents and she was at ease with them.
"I grew up and I never fit in," Kristina told Laurie and Joe, "and I'm so thankful for that now." This intrigued Laurie, saying that John felt the same way at some point in his life.
Kristina said that the John's qualities that his parents tell her are very similar to hers and just meeting his parents she "could possibly be ready to marry their son."
Next episode, Kristina and John will have a date outdoors. Kristina will tell John she's not looking for a "perfect angel" and that she wants to fall in love with the guy's flaws. Hopefully, he'll be able to fall in love her flaws too.
