Bryan Singer Enjoys 'X-Men: Apocalypse' Themed Party to Mark End of Filming

It's a wrap! Bryan Singer has announced that the main unit filming for the forthcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse" movie has ended. The director also celebrated the momentous event with an "X-Men" themed party with the cast and crew members.

The "X-Men: Apocalypse" director announced the good news on Instagram this weekend, reports Comic Book Movie, wherein Singer uploaded a snap of the film crew on social media. Singer captioned the picture, "That's a wrap on main unit. But still more to shoot over the next few weeks with second unit. But now...the wrap party! #xmen #xmenapocalypse." The movie's cast and crew completed the main unit filming, which started late April, in five months' time.

The Comic Book Movie report also mentioned that the second unit filming is set to continue until September 4. However, some of the "X-Men: Apocalypse" main stars such as James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, and others, are no longer expected to join the second unit filming.

Meanwhile, the "X-Men: Apocalypse" cast and crew enjoyed their wrap party and even shared some of the pictures on Instagram, reports Entertainment Weekly. Olivia Munn shared a photo of herself with Ben Hardy, Alexandra Shipp and director Singer. The three actors played Psylocke, Angel/Archangel and Storm in the movie, respectively. Munn captioned the image, "A director and his #horsemen." Fassbender, who played Magneto, along with the three mutants, portray Isaac's En Sabah Nur's the "Four Horsemen of Apocalypse."

Aside from the "Horsemen" shot, Munn also posed with Hardy and her trainers, Karine Lemieux and Ken C. Tran. The two were responsible for whipping Munn into shape and even taught the actress impressive katana and martial art moves. The star described the picture with a series of hashtags and called the group "team billieve". She wrote, "#xmenapocalypse #angel #psylocke #trainers --> @teambillieve @karine_lmx."

Keeping in line with the "X-Men" themed party, the cocktail drinks served at the event even had "X-Men" character names. Singer also shared a quick snap of the bar offerings on Instagram which included drinks such as The Apocalypse, The Cyclops, and The Mystique, among others.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is expected to hit movie theaters on May 27, 2016.
