While "Final Fantasy's VII's" Cloud Strife DLC was finally released following the last video presentation for "Super Smash Bros." last Dec. 15, it has also been announced that Corrin and Bayonetta will be making their way to the hit Nintendo brawl as the last DLCs. There have been reports that many fans are disappointed with the last two DLCs.
As previously reported, Bayonetta from the game of the same name has been announced to be the final character DLC and just like Corrin from "Fire Emblem," she is expected to arrive as a DLC in February 2016. Bayonetta was said to be one of the popularly voted character during the fighter ballot that ended in October 2015.
The Final Nintendo Direct that was especially dedicated to "Super Smash Bros." announced that Cloud Strife and his Midgar state would go live after the presentation. And such announcement was delivered ahead of Bayonetta and Corrin. According to the thread on the Nintendo Reddit, fans would have felt happier if Cloud's arrival was announced after the disappointing announcement that Corrin and Bayonetta will be the last character DLCs.
NOBLExGAMER wrote, "I feel like they should have announced Corrin at the end of the last direct instead of Cloud, announcing him on the final SM4SH direct would have left far fewer people leaving disappointed."
It is totally understandable since many of us are already accustomed to hearing the bad news first before the good news.
In the meantime the same Reddit Discussion Thread, Nintendo has announced that Amiibo figures for Ryu, Roy, and Rob will be coming in March 2016. On the other hand, while Bayonetta, Corrin, and Cloud Amiibos figures are also confirmed, there is not specific release date for them yet. Also, being the final presentation dedicated to "Super Smash Bros," the game statistics shows that "Super Smash Bros." already has 58 fighters, 84 stages, 99 costumes, 97 hats, 743 trophies (WiiU), 707 trophies (3DS) and 507 music tracks.
In the meantime, "Super Smash Bros." is available on Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.
