When Supercell announced what is dubbed as the biggest update ever to "Clash of Clans" during the ClashCon event in October, it was met with much anticipation. Unfortunately, when it finally rolled out, fans were not as happy as they were expected to be.
While there are good feedback about the latest update to the game, many "Clash of Clans" players are disappointed that the changes are not working well with them. The developer, who has received a backlash from gamers, has not released any official statement to address the complaints. Nonetheless, Supercell has launched a post-update patch and another optional update to address mainly the concerns on Personal Break system and user interface fixes.
However, one of the biggest concerns that still persist is the difficulty of acquiring resources for upgrades, particularly among casual players (i.e., those who play an hour so once a day or every other day). Because they do not attack several times a day, they get looted and bullied by stronger players several times. So, with their previously hard-earned resources gone, they can't upgrade to higher levels. This has not been fixed and many gamers have reportedly just quit playing "Clash of Clans."
A player commented in the Supercell forum, "Clans are full of people who are only chatting, attacking in CW and do not farm at all. Those guys are going to be washed away with this update. Because it is frustrating to 'not move forward' at all."
Meanwhile, another player's feedback said, "I am doing bigger raids than before and more of them, without getting hit in return as often. I am still saving my loot for upgrades, and getting better attack practices." He added, "Therefore it is the rushed bases that are getting hit bad. They are probably the ones doing the most complaining."
While many fans are reportedly asking Supercell to reverse the game system changes on "Clash of Clans," the developer is yet to say anything about any future plans for the hit mobile game.
