'K: Return of the Kings' Finale Episode Review: Doesn't Wrap up Little Details; Bittersweet End?

"K: Return of the Kings" has finally concluded in episode 13. The finale episode of the franchise doesn't wrap up the little details of the series. It appears like the show has a bittersweet ending.

Anime News Network shares its review of the final episode of "K: Return of the Kings" anime series. According to its report, the finale "doesn't neatly wrap up every little detail." In fact, there is no longer story to recount after this ending, believing that this is already the final installment of the franchise.

ANN says that "all that is left is, perhaps, curiosity about how some of the characters turn out as they go forward with their lives." "K: Return of the Kings" is flawed considering its performance, however it didn't fail when it comes to satisfying its viewers. As noted, "it does stick the landing."

In fact, the overall performance of "K: Return of the Kings" episode 13 was done well, flaws aside. Report states that "some reference to how the loss of everyone's powers at the end impacted the public might have been nice, but with so much going on involving the major players that was likely a time constraint issue."

It is also noted that the final chapter of "K: Return of the Kings" had worked on the explanation of why "Neko slash Miyabi" behaved the way she did. Her character and where she's coming from is likened to Nagare, who also got affected by disastrous event that happened 15 years ago.

"K: Return of the Kings" successfully delivered its ultimate message through the life of Neko. A person doesn't "need superpowers to live a happy life." This universal truth, thought presented in an oversimplified way, is very much fitting to end the anime series.

News Hub noted that "K: Return of the Kings" final episode had displayed a very strong and high emotion. The site also highlighted important events in the finale. Few of these major events are: Reisi meeting his end, Shiro trying to destroy the Dresden Slates, Neko being a a victim of the Kagutsu Incident, and Neko and Negare aren't siblings.
