"General Hospital" returns on Monday with fresh episodes after taking a short break during the New Year holidays.

In addition to New Year's romance between some couples being interrupted, spoilers tease that Laura is bringing out her A-game just for the sake of keeping her son Nik away from Hayden. Nik and Hayden as a couple brings a lot of issues and they are up to no good. But according to Examiner, while Laura is ready to do whatever it takes to separate Nik and Hayden, the latter is smarter than she is given credit for. With that, it's likely that Laura will not be successful in her attempt.
Elsewhere, it looks like little Jake is in trouble over what Helena did to him and Liz will phone Jason. Unfortunately for Sam, because she and Jason are about to kiss on New Year's Eve, Jason will run off to Liz after that urgent call. Sam will feel more alone, especially with Patrick and Robin getting back together and walking down the aisle. But Damien and Ellie, who will see what happened with the missed kiss, will encourage Sam to just hang in there, assuring her that she and Jason are destined to be with each other, Celeb Dirty Laundry said.
Meanwhile, spoilers also reveal that the situation about little Jake will also bring Laura and Liz together. Other happenings to look forward to this week include Hayden's surprise for Nik and Anna's scene with Julian as she shows him she still remembers how he played a part in Duke's death. Dante will be suspicious of Lulu, while Lulu will be suspicious of Johnny.
In a related GH news, Emma is also leaving Port Charles with her parents Patrick and Robin.
