Pokemon games are always a hot topic for gamers. The latest of the game series, aside from Pokemon Emerald being hacked, is the "Pokémon Mega Get." It is the latest arcade game of the Pokemon series to hit this 2016, which said to have a new approach in gaming.
According to Nintendo-Insider, "Pokémon Mega Get" has recently been announced by Bandai Namco. It is noted to bring fans in Japan a new arcade experience this 2016.
Before playing "Pokémon Mega Get," the players are given options to play any of the 3 stages set. These stages are the sea, the sky and the overgrown grassy area. Aside from the stages, players also will pick their Pokémon partner. The playable characters are Froakie, Fennekin and Chespin.
The objective of this new Pokémon arcade game is for players to "rack up points while you catch Pokémon by throwing actual Pokéballs," says Siliconera. The players have to race with time since the video game is time-bounded.
Once the game of "Pokémon Mega Get" is finished, the players are rewarded with one of 24 collectible cards. Report says that "getting a good score will increase your chance of encountering Mega Rayquaza along with some mythical Pokémon, too."
Looking at the new machine, people may think that it looks primitive, but then Neo Seeker states that this new Pokémon arcade game will hone the players "real-life trainer skills ahead of Pokémon GO by throwing Pokéballs at an interactive screen."
Report also compares "Pokémon Mega Get" from "Pokkén Tournament." It reveals that this new arcade game of the Pokémon series appears to lack in any gameplay depth.
Nonetheless, looking at the objective of the game, it doesn't need any gameplay depth. The promotional video "shows off a water environment filled with Piplup, Squirtle, Milotic, and Surfing Pikachus." This might not be very challenging for some fans that have been into "competitive battles in the Pokémon series."
As of the moment, Bandai Namco says "Pokémon Mega Get" will only be released in Japan.
