"Samsung Galaxy S7" is coming up, and we can't wait to know more about this giant release from Samsung. News and rumors about the S7 say a lot about how Samsung aims to create the most competitive smartphone yet. Based on what has been mentioned from tech websites, it looks like Samsung wants to take on Apple by putting in the 3D Touch feature on the upcoming "Galaxy S7". The 3D Touch is the latest technology incorporated by Apple in their newest iPhones. This feature allows for pressure to be detected by the smartphone, meaning, the screen reacts to the pressure of your touch, allowing different functions to take place.
"Samsung Galaxy S7" Release Date and Cost
The "Samsung Galaxy S7" is probably gonna go out by February 2016. It will be the next Samsung flagship from the Galaxy series and although no cost has been announced yet, it is expected that the Galaxy S7 will be as expensive as the previous flagship phones from Samsung.
"Samsung Galaxy S7" Design
Rumors suggest that the next Galaxy phone will be much bigger than its predecessor. But that's not exactly a shocker, as we have seen the Galaxy series lean towards bigger phones. And since we have already seen Samsung overhaul its most recent flagship, we can't expect another big overhaul in design in the "Galaxy S7". But there are talks about a new metal built for the S7. It was said that Samsung is experimenting with a new phone material that will make the S7 stronger but at the same time lighter. The magnesium based alloy that the company is working on is also said to do better in taking heat out of the device.
It is also highly possible that we get a premium slim metal and glass build for the Galaxy S7. Considering that the battery would probably be irremovable, we can assume that the entire material is solid strong as it won't be compromised for a removable battery.
"Samsung Galaxy S7" Display
There are reports that suggest there would be two "Galaxy S7" phones. One with a 5.8 display and one with a 5.2 inch. One of these sizes is expected to have the 4K display technology. However, a contrasting benchmark believed to be for the S7 has also surfaced. It says that the phone has a 1440 x 2560 QHD display and a 5.7 inch screen, allowing the 4K rumor to be debunked. But puzzling the rumor pieces, it is still possible that this non 4K phone is the lower variant of the S7 phones, in case there are two.
Additional reports state that the "Samsung Galaxy S7", or one of its variants, will have curved screen. A talk about a new glass technology has also surfaced recently, and Samsung may use the new glass called Turtle Glass as a stronger replacement to the well-loved Corning Gorilla Glass series.
It is worth mentioning that some sources say that Samsung will go beyond mainstream and give us a foldable phone. But this is highly unlikely, because first, this technology is too risky to be tried on a flagship phone, and secondly, that would be too much new technology in one release.
"Samsung Galaxy S7" Camera
It was said that the S7 will have the same camera specs as the S6 which is a 16 MP back camera and a 5 MP front camera. But we all know and love Samsung for its amazing camera quality, so these cam specs wouldn't be so bad.
A duo camera rumor has also surfaced, so it's a big possibility that Samsung will continue to provide us with good camera features.
"Samsung Galaxy S7" Processors
The yet to be announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor is reported to be featured in 2016's biggest flagships and this may include the "Galaxy S7". If the S7 does come with the new Qualcom chipset, it would simply mean that the new Qualcomm Snapdragon is better than its previous release as Samsung rejected the idea of using the Snapdragon 810 in the S6 phones. Instead, they used their own Exynos processor.
The S7 is expected to run the latest Android version Marshmallow and have a RAM of 4 GB.
"Samsung Galaxy S7" features
Like the latest and biggest smartphone releases, the "Samsung Galaxy S7" is expected to have a fingerprint scanner and a microSD slot. As to the internal memory of the "Samsung Galaxy S7", only a 32 GB and a 64 GB memory variants has been mentioned so far.
"Samsung Galaxy S7" price
We sure hope that it could be less pricey than the S6, but we can't keep our hopes up. The "Samsung Galaxy S7" is probably gonna be at a $600 - $650 price range.
